St Ives is one of the most delightful of river towns welcoming visitors for more than a thousand years. Few places are able to offer such a variety of features to visitors along with a stunning location on the north bank of the River Great Ouse. One of the prettiest parts of St Ives can be found between the Quay and the Market Hill where there is a maze of little lanes and alleyways typical of an old market town.

What To See:
The River Bridge, built of Barnack limestone around 1426 combine with the Chapel of St Leger is one of only four surviving bridge chapels in the country. All Saint's Church make the site of the Saxon village of Slepe the original centre of settlement dating back to the 12th Century. The Norris Museum was founded in 1933 and tells the story of this historic county from the age of dinosaurs to present day. Along the river you will find St Ives Quay a peaceful and relaxing area to spend a while. Erected in 1901 to commemorate that the fact that he lived in St Ives from 1631-1635 is the find bronze statue of Oliver Cromwell.

What To Do:
For the active visitor the St Ivo Leisure Centre provides a range of superb sporting facilities, including indoor heated swimming pool, a shooting range, the provision of many indoor games. Impressions Fitness suite is also within the centre. St Ives Golf Club has a well established 9-hole golf course and practice ground open to non-members. The Captain's Table 70ft pleasure boat complete with full bar and catering facilities available for private hire and river trips.

Grafham Water Nature Reserve, Hamerton Zoo Park, The Raptor Foundation, Hinchingbrooke House, Kimbolton Castle, Cromwell Museum, Island Hall, Rally Karting, Somersham Pottery, the Manor at Hemingford Grey or Paxton Pits Nature Reserve.
